Once again, Influenster sent me some Erno Laszlo goodies for me to review for you guys. The box came with many more products including the Detoxifying Cleanse Set (read about it here!)
The morning after, I could DEFINITELY tell the difference. My skin felt so smooth and even & bright. Sadly, I woke up late for class so I had to rush to get ready and didn't get a picture but heres a picture of my makeup look from that day. Pay attention to how my foundation looks against my skin. I've been having some texture problems and I could see some differences just overnight!
Overall, I would give this product a 8/10. I feel like with consistent use, this product would do wonders because it already has in only two nights! I will consistently use this every week back to back on two days & I'll give a follow up review!
Thanks for reading and don't forget to subscribe to me on Bloglovin to be notified every time I post!

1. What Is The Company Offering?
Of course as a content creator, your purpose [at least for Beauty, Fashion and a few others] is to review the items for a potential consumer looking for their next buy. You are a vessel of promotion for the company at hand. Now if you purchased items on your own, it's different because you spent your own money. But when companies start to reach out to you, you need to make sure they are not playing you. This tip is especially for smaller creators. Yes, you may be small but you still have a following and creating content for promotion is a time consuming job. What you are willing to take is up to you but you need to be stern and professional with companies or else they will walk all over you, for free. My advice to you is to create a media kit. A media kit is basically a brag sheet and layout of your services and what you charge for them. It's okay to negotiate because every brand is different but make sure you're getting what you're worth.
2. ALWAYS BE TRUTHFUL
This is self explanatory. Sadly, nowadays you have to say this. The content creators, [not spilling the tea on who] who say they love every product they get are the ones to look out for. Actually, the ones who have ENDLESS sponsored videos are the worst. Yes, it's okay to get that coin but are you really doing it for the people. Personally, I got into this industry because I felt as though the Blogging and Youtube platform now was becoming so saturated with people who don't care about the everyday girl wanting to find truthful reviews for products. Every time I review something, I am 100% truthful with it. It doesn't matter if you're getting paid to do a review or not. The minute that you lie is the minute you sell yourself out and lose the trust of your audience.
3. Every Collaboration Isn't A Good One
When the collab emails start rolling in trust me it feels good but you need to keep in mind that every company is not for you. Yes, collaborations are a great way to expand and promote your brand but you can't just take anything. Let me give you an example: A dope swimwear line reached out to me in December about becoming a Brand Ambassador. I actually loved the brand and what it stood for. But mind you, I'm a Jersey girl. It's cold in December and I'm definitely not going to the beach anytime soon. Yes, I could've took the offer but I politely rejected the offer for now because I was not a match for the brand at the time. It's not about the offer, it's about will the offer work for you?
4. Don't Let The IRS Come And Find You
This is actually something that I'm just now learning about and I'm currently researching. Please keep in mind that being a content creator after a certain amount of money is considered a job. Just like any other job, you need to pay taxes. One tip that I've found was to keep receipts for EVERYTHING you purchase in reference to your side hustle or full-time job. Microsoft Excel is a great way to keep track of that [Click here for free budgeting sheets]. The video below is the first video I watched about taxes and creating content. A separate blog post for that will be coming soon!
5. Get Familar With The FTC Before They Get Familiar With You
The FTC to Content Creators is what the IRS is to our wages, annoying as hell but necessary. Due to the new job pool, FTC had to crack down on Content Creators and Brand Ambassadors for the protection of the consumer. The FTC is not here to make your life hard, they're simply here to protect the consumers just like the Dodd-Frank & Sarbanes Oxley Act (if you're a business major like myself you know. lol) Just stay in their good graces and you're fine!
What are some of your experiences as being a content creator? Let me know below or on social media!
Sincerely, Sharon B

Natural hair is no easy task for me and I hate trying new products but Influenster sent me some Shea Moisture goodies and I couldn't resist. I'm also very new to this natural hair gang. I just cut all the permed ends off my hair in December of 2016 (I currently have a bob cut) and now I'm looking forward to my journey. Although I am natural, I do not wear my hair in a fro like most girls. It's hard for me to do that in the Winter without getting sick and I just generally like my hair straight because I'm at a weird length right now. Anything that can get my hair straight without tremendous damage, I'm HERE FOR IT!
Before hopping into my review, some background information on the brand Shea Moisture. Shea Moisture is a black owned brand for natural hair girls like myself. All of Shea Moisture's products has NO sulfates, parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil, animal testing, or petrolatum; also known as the bad stuff. The Argan Oil & Almond Milk Smooth & Tame Shampoo and Blow Out Créme (with Marshmallow Root Extract & Cherimoya) is no different. This product is meant for girls who love their natural hair straight, again, like myself.
Here are my results after silk pressing at about 200 degrees F! Even with the semi-intense humidity that day, the frizz was still minimal! Thank you again to Influenster for sending me these Shea Moisture goodies. Don't forget to sign up here!

Now look, it takes a lot for me to love a show because I can't keep up with all these times with the hectic schedule I have. But of course when I have time to relax I get bored & some times YouTube videos ain't cutting it & I need a real show. Here are my current favorite shows to watch on Cable and Netflix!
Star on FOX
This show is only on its 3rd episode but I'm so addicted. I literally watched the pilot episode like 5 times to put people on. This show is basically about a foster child & her sister who lost their mother at a young age due to drugs. Thank God they got out the foster care system & found their God Mother Carlotta. These girls along with Alexandria, form a girl group & move to Atlanta with the hopes of landing a record deal. But hunny, there's some DRAMA! Some of the stars in this series are: Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Queen Latifah, Lenny Kravtiz, Naomi Campbell, and many many more. It comes on every Wednesday @ 9 PM (EST) on FOX.
Narcos on Netflix
I don't know what it is but I'm all for the drug lord shows & how they rose & fell. Let me tell y'all how I watched 20 episodes (the full 2 seasons) in 3 days. I know it's sad but I had a cold & I had nothing to do. This series is about one of the biggest drug cartel lords in history, Pablo Escobar & his empire. In this series you get to see Escobar in a different light. I can't talk about the show too much without giving it away but just know that it gets real! Hopefully there's a third season because they can't end it like this 😫
Scandal on ABC #TGIT
Honestly, #TGIT starts and ends with Scandal for me. If you know me, you know that Scandal is my ALL TIME FAVORITE show. EVER. This suspense drama-filled series starring Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope is all about the corruption of the federal government along with her affairs with the President and another [Can't tell you because I'll ruin the show for you]. This show returns to television on January 26th at 8 PM [EST] On ABC! Grab your wine & popcorn!
Call me childish if you want but Bob's Burgers is my show! I'm a goof ball myself so I love shows and movies that will make me laugh. This show is just a little cartoon about a family who owns and runs their Burger Shop. Every character will make you laugh. It's definitely a bomb show for those late night binges!
What are some of your Netflix and Cable faves? Comment below!
Sincerely, Sharon B
It's been awhile since I've done a favorite post so why not give you guys one that will help you get through this Winter weather? Below are my current favorite items in Beauty, Skincare, and Lifestyle.

Every semester it's all about finding a balance in between your school life and social life. Of course we have our education, responsibilities, work, organizations, and more that we need to worry about but what about ourselves? Before anything you are a PERSON first! You need to take care of you and make sure you're in a good state of mind to do anything. Here are some tips that I've picked up along the way to not overwork and stay sane
I don't know about you but I go crazy when things aren't organized. I can't be productive whatsoever if my room isn't organized & clean. What I would suggest is that you take one day out the week to thoroughly clean your room. You'll thank yourself later when you're in the midst of a busy week! Although last minute things do sometimes pop up, it would be easier to manage when you have everything you need to do laid out right in front of you. Personally, I plan out my week on Sunday's. Not necessarily the times I'm gonna do things but I plan what I will need to get done during that day to avoid stressing myself out. When you have everything laid out right in front of you, it's 10 times easier to actually get it done! Take a look at my very own planner. I like to fold the tabs once I finish that particular task!
Give Yourself A Day To You
In the midst of a crazy point of time in your life, it's important that you remember that you need time to yourself as well. Although there are things to do, it's important that you remember to take the time to pamper yourself and treat yourself! Try just having a pamper day whenever you're free!
Take Care Of Your Body
When being busy throughout the work week, it may be easy to just get fast food or food you know that isn't really the most nutritious. Too much of this can cause your body to shut down. I know from experience, I was eating TERRIBLY my 1st year of college plus being on a dance team & another organization. There were times where I got light headed & my body felt light. This is the most important part, your health! Take care of you so you can hustle. I would suggest fruits, salad, water for breakfast. If you're really on the go, try meal prep! Also, most schools have a gym or recreational center for their students that's included in their tuition, UTILIZE THIS! If your schedule allows it, try going to the gym at least 3 times a week. If not that, at least once.
This may seem tougher for others but you can't keep everything bottled up inside. Yes, college gets stressful at times. That's inevitable. But holding all your problems inside sometimes makes you an angrier person and that's not a good look for you. Find someone to talk to like a friend, boyfriend, parents, Resident Assistants, a Counselor, or someone on your campus.
DO NOT Procrastinate!
Now this is the part where taking my own advice gets kinda hard. Procrastination is always the biggest issue but here's my trick to overcome it, I try to do everything I have to do at least 3 days ahead of time. That's were getting organized comes into play!
There Are Resources On Your Campus, USE THEM.
The resources college campuses provide are amazing. The only thing is, a lot of students may not know about them. Try going to your department or even go online to your department and check out what they have available at your school!
Join Things, Go Out, Have Fun, Meet People!
I know this sounds a little scary, especially if you're a freshman but joining organizations & getting involved on campus is a major key. Not only are you meeting new people, you're networking! At college and in life, it's more about who you know rather than what you know.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a prosperous Spring 2017!

Hey girls! So Influenster, a social media site for content creators, sent me a Vox Box in December full of goodies. A Vox Box is basically a box of free products complimentary of the brands for testing purposes. Today I am going to review one of my FAVORITE products in the box, the Aquation Daily Moisturizing Lotion.
When I tell you guys this lotion is amazing and it’s better than Nivea which is shocking. I use this mostly on my face but it’s such an amazing product. You know how you have that dry feeling after washing your face and you may need something to smoothen and moisturize your face, this lotion will do just that and it doesn’t leave you feeling sticky.
This product is for ALL skin types and it says their “advanced formula restores and fortifies natural water balance” which I can believe! The ingredients of this lotion are listed below!
Be sure to subscribe to me on Youtube to see what other products I use for my daily skincare routine! Thanks for reading!
Sincerely, Sharon B

If you keep up with the antics of guru's in the makeup twitter/ social media hemisphere then these two names are very familiar to you. Shayla (@makeupshayla) and Amra (@amrezy), two very talented women in their paths, were once the best of friends. They were at each other's houses, went to Beyoncé concerts together, vacations together, you name it. They were girlfriends if not besties. Now let's take it a couple of months back. Jeffree Star, another famous name in the makeup industry (but he's annoying, a racist, and disrespectful) took to Snapchat to fire shots at Shayla over comments said about another woman at a PR event in New York. Below is the video of his Snap Story and tweets directed at Shayla.
ALL SCREENSHOTS FROM http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/101705853.html
Shayla's Snap Story from that day is nowhere to be found but I did listen to it and it didn't sound like she was coming for anyone but hey I'm just on the outside looking in. Now let's get onto how Amrezy got tied into this incident.
Now let's fast forward to two days ago when the tea got hot again, it all started when Shayla tweeted this...
It's not really shade but it is. But if you were a real friend, why would this tweet bother you?? After this, Amra took to snapchat to rant (as usual) here is her Snapchat rant about Shayla below.
**DISCLAIMER: DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN BEFORE CLICKING THIS VIDEO LOL**
First of all, if anyone can get you this mad to take to Social Media and yell at your phone like you're crazy, seek mental help. That's not even a joke, I'm dead serious. Amra has always had this thing of calling out her "haters" but boo, if you're making money and you're happy let it go. Sitting on social media arguing with people all day is trash. Make your money and slay. But honestly, if you weren't side eyeing Amra after the false claims Jeffree made about Shayla and you're supposed to be my friend, YES WE'RE GOING TO HAVE AN ISSUE. Amra has always been known as the makeup girl to speak her mind. You have all the balls in the world every other day but when Jeffree comes into it, it's a different story (PROTECTING THAT COIN). I'm not saying she had to take Jeffree's side but notice when things are wrong. Now let's point out the reasons why Shayla cut Amra off and why she's the right one in this situation:
Wait, the tea gets even hotter! Take a look at this Twitter thread of a former friend of Amra's!
I hate to unfollow Amra on everything because she serves looks but I can't get with the nasty attitude, a fake friend, and people who act fake tough for social media in general. But I can't help but realize the fact that Shayla is really the only black woman in her lane right now (Of course we have Jackie Aina as well but y'all get what I'm saying). There's like this thing with Black Makeup enthusiasts/ MUA's on social media that kind of like a sisterhood. I feel like with the other's they don't really have that. Honestly, I don't even watch or pay attention to other races in makeup besides white because WHY would I? I'm a black girl, I need tips for my melanin skin. The most I'll take is some skin care advice from other races but generally, I'm watching black girls because I can relate to them. I'm not trying to bring race into it but being the only black girl in the group, you kind of have to take that into consideration. I think Shayla finds some REAL FRIENDS that are in the same lane as her and that she can relate to. She doesn't need to but it would be nice to see. Honestly Shayla, keep grinding and stay beautiful. Let the haters hate. Let Amra keep yelling in her phone about your tweets and her "haters" lol. Stay tuned though! This tea just might get reheated! Until next time!
Sincerely, Sharon B
